As is the case with many objects for daily use
not much has been written about ice skates as such.
Companies tend to direct their attention
to
production and sales
thus omitting
to document
developments and backgrounds.
When new brochures and pricelists are published
the old ones usually are thrown away.
Collectors that like to know a bit more
about the things they possess
therefore depend on strokes of luck
and the help of outsiders.
